Man beats wife to death for ignoring his phone calls

A man in Zimbabwe has been declared wanted by the police for beating his wife to death because she ignored his phone calls.

According to Masvingo police , the man identified as Timothy Chiminya allegedly used a sharp object to strike his 23-year-old wife Delight Mutuvira then fled the scene of the crime.

Chiminya who had been drinking with his friends, came home and confronted his wife about not answering his phone calls.

His wife, Mutuvira told him the phone was charging and she didn’t hear it ringing. Chiminya then grabbed a sharp object and hit his wife over the head several times till she died.

Neighbors who heard the commotion rushed over to the home, and found the woman lying on the ground with severe injuries to her head. She was taken to the Masvingo General Hospital, where she passed on.

Her husband is still at large.
