President Muhammadu Buhari‘s trip to the United Arab Emirates is proving to be more than about the energy summit. Buhari signed several agreements with the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE on January 19, 2016, Tuesday this week.
UAE and Nigeria Bilateral-extradition
According to Sahara Reporters, these treaties covered Judicial Agreements on Extradition, Transfer of Sentenced Persons, Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Matters, and Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal and Commercial Matters. In line with his commitment to fighting corruption, the treaty includes the return of stolen Nigerian funds.
