Ahead Of New NPFL Season: FC Ifeanyi Ubah Import Six Brazilian Players

The Six Players And Two Coaches From Brazil On Arrival In Lagos


FC Ifeanyi Ubah, one of the two privately owned clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has signed six players and two assistant coaches from Brazil to set the pace in its bid to win the first league title.
The six players and two assistant coaches from Brazil arrived at the Murtala International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday after successful negotiations with their clubs. The players and coaches who landed in Lagos at about 1:30PM aboard South African Airline looked excited at the challenge ahead.

In telephone conversation with the club’s media team about the arrival of the players and coaches, the Club Chairman, Mr Chukwuma Ubah stated how delighted the club is with the arrival of the Brazilian players and coaches. He affirmed his belief and confidence in the Brazilian players and coaches in their capacity to bring their experience to the team with a view to winning the league title for the first time, within its second attempt. He said that the choice of Brazilians will spur and challenge our local talents to bring out the best in them to meet international standard.
The Capital Oil and Gas CEO reiterated the club’s desire to win the league this coming season and promised that the club will stop at nothing to achieving its goal. The Agent of the players, Mr. Alexander in a visibly elated mood poured encomiums on Dr. Ubah and the Club’s management for their vision and determination to become the premier football club not only in Nigeria, but in the whole of Africa.
He further stated that FC Ifeanyi Ubah is a promising team and expressed his optimism to continue to partner positively with the club to achieve greater and lofty heights. He assured that the players will put in their best to ensure that the club achieves its goal of winning the Premier League title.
The players and coaches will be joining the other players at the club’s camp base in Ibadan to commence preparations ahead of the new NPFL season.
The new NPFL season which kicks-off by the end of February promises to be full of fun, excitement and glamour with the arrival of the Brazilian players and the Nigerian League will be better for it.
