Veteran filmmaker, Amaka Igwe is dead, guys. She was the director of the Nollywood classics - Violated & Rattlesnake. She also created the hit TV shows - 'Checkmate' & 'Fuji House of Commotion'.
Mrs Amaka died last night after suffering an asthma attack while in Enugu with her husband. She was working on a new Igbo soap. She had the asthma attack, was immediately rushed to the hospital after initial help failed. Unfortunately, she gave up the ghost before getting to the hospital.
Mrs Amaka Igwe, who hails from Obinagu, Enugu, is survived by her husband of 21 years Charles Igwe, their 3 kids and an aged mother. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
