The wedding ceremony was attended dignitaries from all works of life. Speaking during the ceramony, President Jonathan urged Nigerian couples to love and endure each other to guarantee a successful marriage.
He said,"Endurance is the ingredient for marriage; for any marriage to last endurance is key. It is a painful joy; my wife and I are happy and we appreciate you for witnessing the marriage of our daughter. People that saw me today didn’t recognise me. I am preparing to be a grandfather,” President Jonathan said humorously.
