Hollywood Royalty: Cate Blanchett wore the most expensive outfit at the 2014 Oscars

When the phrase 'Hollywood Royalty' is mentioned, one of the few celebs that instantly comes to mind is Cate Blanchett.

The 45 year old no doubt had a stellar award season by been one of the best dressed, and winning the coveted best actress title. And now, another feather has been added to her awards cap.

In a new list compiled by Vogue, the Blue Jasmine Academy award winner has been given the award for 

 most expensive outfit worn at the 2014 Academy Awards.

The combined cost of her dress and jewellery came in at a whopping $18.1 million.
