Caitlyn Jenner's 'I Am Cait' set to be cancelled due to poor ratings

E! Network plans to cancel Bruce Jenner‘s poorly-rated docuseries, 'I Am Cait', after season 2, a source tells Radar Online.

The show’s ratings have nosedived since the season 2 premiere earlier this year.

“There’s buzz that the show could be canceled as early as next month,” a source tells Radar Online.

But Jenner, 66, isn’t ready to step out of the spotlight just yet.

The heterosexual cross-dresser will join the 3rd season of Amazon’s Transparent, a scripted TV series starring straight actor Jeffrey Tambor as an aging cross-dresser.

Unlike his vanity reality series, Jenner’s Caitlyn will play second fiddle to Tambor’s Maura Pfefferman, a retired political science professor who, like Jenner, reveals his fetish for women’s clothing late in his twilight years.

Tambor, 71, is an acclaimed award-winning actor who probably won’t appreciate being upstaged by a non-acting fame hungry narcissist.

The Olympic gold medalist won’t be swimming in unfamiliar waters; some of the trangenders who worked on Transparent have also appeared on Jenner’s reality show.

Transparent‘s creator, Jill Soloway, hints at “lots of crossover. Lots of friends” for Jenner so that his lack of acting skills won’t be as apparent.

Jenner will begin filming his scenes this week.
