5 children found dead after mistakenly locking themselves in freezer

A grandmother in South Africa was shocked to find the corpse of 5 of her grandchildren in a freezer at the back of her house.

Police in Kakamas said that the children, who are cousins, were found by their grandmother on Tuesday around 6:00 p.m.

The grandmother told police that she became worried and started looking for the children, who are aged between three and seven, after they were no where to be found for a few hours

The aged woman decided to open an old freezer in her back around 6:00pm and found all of them inside dead.

It is said that the freezer jammed after the playful children climbed inside it. They died from suffocation after they struggled to open the freezer without success.

So far, no charges have been filed.
